Obituary for Toni McKissic-Yates
Toni Raye McKissic-Yates 55, of Peoria passed away on Sunday March 6, 2016 at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Born in Cleveland, OH on November 29, 1960 to Roscoe and Lustine Hatten McKissic. She is survived by her mother Lustine Wellmaker, son Brandon McKissic, sisters: Florence (Kevin) Haley, Alisha (Albert) Huff, Alexis Wellmaker, brother David McKissic, grandchildren: Izaiah and Lawrence McKissic, Addison Cox, JaMarquis Stacey and Shaylee George, long term foster children: Caleb and Octavian Gaston and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Toni is also remembered by a special life long friend, Henry Boyd Jr. and sister of her heart, Sheila Blair. She attended Richwoods High school and worked in Insurance Collections. Toni was a loving mother who loved to spend time and nurture children and had a very healthy appetite for shopping. Cremation has been accorded and a Remembrance Service will be held at River West Pavilion 312 Merriman St. in Peoria from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday March 11, 2016
