Obituary for Valarie June Hollensteiner
Valarie June Hollensteiner, 79, of Peoria passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. She was born February 12, 1934. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry E. Hollensteiner and her parents, Philip and Freida Velpel. Valarie is survived by her daughter, Val of Peoria; son, Hank (Gail) of Peoria; granddaughter, Breanna; cousins; sister-in-law; nieces and nephews and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Many years ago Valarie worked at Szolds, Bergners and Super X. She was a caregiver for many families. Before retiring Valarie worked as a childcare aide for 17 years at MMCI'S Methodist Family Child Care Center. Valarie was a loyal, loving, caring person. She will be deeply missed by all her family and friends. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial visitation will be held Saturday, January 11, 2014 from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin. A private service and burial will be held at a later date at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Thanks for coming, May God Bless You. Please keep Valarie and her family in your prayers.
