Obituary for Virginia Sturm
Virginia L. Filstrup Sturm passed away February 9, 2015 at Lutheran Hillside Village where she had resided for twelve years. In February, 1946 she married Cecil D. Rigg. Virginia later married Wallace F. Sturm in December, 1970 and they resided in Chillicothe, IL until his passing in 2003. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Sturm and two brothers, Charles Filstrup and Robert Filstrup. Surviving are her daughter, Karen Sayers (Craig) of Libertyville, IL and one stepson, Frank Sturm (Donna) of Chillicothe, IL and one stepdaughter, Ivy Sturm of Pennsylvania. Also surviving are two brothers, Jim Filstrup of California and Mike Filstrup (Lois) of Creve Coeur, IL and one sister, Joanne Walter of Florida. Three grandchildren survive, Lisa Burnside (Jim) of Peoria, IL, Brian Sayers (Corinne) of Naperville, IL and Frankie Sturm of Chillicothe, IL and six great-granchildren. Virginia’s ashes will be buried at Fondulac Cemetery.
