Obituary for Walter J Maquet
Walter J. Maquet, 88, of Pekin passed away Monday, December 19, 2016 at Timbercreek Rehab in Pekin. He was born March 25, 1928 in Kincaid, IL to Walter and Margaret Isoardi Maquet. He married Marlene Altig; she survives. He is also survived by his sons, Thomas Maquet of Pekin, Gregory Maquet of Pekin; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Gerald (Loretta) Maquet of Florida and four nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son, Danny. Walter served in the U.S. Navy. He owned and operated the Phillips 66 Station in Pekin and was a former member of Pekin Moose Lodge #916. Cremation has been accorded and a private graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society in his name.
