William “Bill” C. Keller Jr., 88, of Farmington previously of Peoria Heights and Creve Coeur passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Farmington Village.
He was born to William C. and Esther Pence Keller Sr. on April 14, 1936, in Peoria.
He married Betty Lou Bauwens on December 4, 1958; she preceded him in death. His parents; children, Dawn M. Weeks, William C. Keller III, and sister, Patricia Marrs also preceded him in death.
He is survived by his children, Karla K. (Keller) Lewis, Veronica L. (Keller) Shumaker, Paul D. Keller; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Bill went to school at Woodruff High School graduating in 1955 and ICC in East Peoria graduating with a degree in Robotics.
He served in the U.S. Airforce and worked for the post office, Logan Printing, Peoria Camera and was a valet at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Bill enjoyed fishing, camping, bowling and darts. He played hand bells and sang in the choir.
He will be greatly missed by his church and family.
He was a Deacon at United Presbyterian Church in Peoria where a funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at 10:30 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at the church. Burial will follow at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria with military honors.
