William R. Johnson 95, of Phoenix, AZ formerly of Pekin, IL passed away Friday October 21, 2011 in Phoenix, AZ. He was born October 4, 1916 in Pekin to Joseph and Genevieve Eichenlaub Johnson. He married Lillian Guidi in Pekin at St. Joseph Catholic Church July 3, 1948. She preceded him in death October 19, 1997. He was also preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his nieces and nephews; Kay (Warren) Peterson of Phoenix, AZ, Robert (Deb) Johnson of Toms River, NJ, Nadine (Darrell) Black of Pekin, Rob (Becky) Ricci of FL and Paul Guidi of Pekin. William worked for Caterpillar retiring January 2, 1975. He was a past member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3507, Italian American Citizen League, Loyal Order of Moose Lodge #916 and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin where a Funeral Mass will be held Thursday October 27, 2011 at 11 am with visitation 1 hour prior at the church. Msgr. Tim Nolan will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
