Obituary for William Zaborac
William E. “Bill” Zaborac 80, of Canton passed away Wednesday August 17
th
2011 at his home with his family by his side.
He was born February 3, 1931 in St. David, IL to Bartol and Leolis Sennett Zaborac. He married Rebecca Hornett on September 1, 1970 in Lewiston, IL.
Bill served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War. To all that knew him he was a life long Cubs fan and avid pool player. He retired from International Harvester, Co. in 1983. After retirement Bill loved playing golf and fishing.
Surviving are his wife, Becky Zaborac of Canton; his son Bart (Mary) Zaborac of Springfield; son Carl (Theresa) Murphy of Canton; son Rick (Lisa) Murphy of Canton; daughter Peggy Whitaker of Bradley, IL. Also surviving are 12-grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers Jack and Joseph Zaborac; a sister Mary Alice Zaborac and son-in-law Alan Whitaker.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Graham Hospital Home Health and Hospice: 210 W. Walnut St. Canton, IL 61520 or Canton Football Co. C/O Ipava State Bank, 74 E. Pine Canton, IL 61520. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
