Obituary for Wintfred Richardson Sr.
Wintfred Richardson Sr. of Pekin passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at 3:38 a.m. at his home. He was born July 29, 1936 to Huston Lloyd and Luella Bartels Richardson. He is survived by his wife, Irene; sons, Wintfred Jr. (Deb) Richardson of Pekin, Gregory Richardson of Sumter, SC; daughter, Angela Wilson of Pekin; grandchildren, Rene’ (Jason) Herberger, Tiffany (Robert) Gailliaert, Shaun Sipka, Shane Sipka, Autumn Wilson, Joseph (Chrystal) Richardson, Bryce Wilson, Jacob (Jenna) Richardson; twelve great-grandchildren and sister, Wilma Hasty. Wintfred was employed at Caterpillar for 35 years. He was involved in Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts, enjoyed bowling and was an avid hunter and fisherman. A visitation will be held Thursday, September 8, 2016 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin. The funeral service will be held Friday, September 9, 2016 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation or St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin in his name.
