Obituary for Larry White
Larry Walter White, 69, of Peoria passed away Monday, March 28, 2016 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. He was born April 5, 1946 in Peoria to Wilson H. and Helen M. Gernentz White. He married Florence Mae Aberle August 20, 2004 in Peoria; she survives. He is also survived by his daughter, Joyleen of Peoria; step-son, Troy of Creve Coeur; son, Stacey (Kimberly) of East Peoria; brother, Warren (Elizabeth) of Texas; son, Marty of Illinois; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Joyce White. Larry served in the U.S. Army and was a U.S. Navy Reserves Recruiter. He worked for NORCO ROHN, retiring in 2003. He was a member of the Navy Marine Club in Peoria Heights. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, playing golf and working part time at the Peoria Park District Kellogg golf course. Larry was a huge sports fanatic and enjoyed racing, the Cubs, the Bears and Illini games. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the Navy Marine Club in Peoria Heights from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. Thank you to the doctors, nurses and staff at OSF St. Francis Medical Center and especially OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home for the care and love you show to each and every patient.
