Obituary for Michael C Canada
Michael C. Canada, 62, of North Pekin passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was born November 13, 1953 in Oceanside, CA to Curtis and Florence Klockenga Canada Jr. He married Gayle Frevert January 6, 1973 in Delavan; she survives. He is also survived by his son, Devon Canada of North Pekin; daughter, Sabrina Canada of North Pekin; brother, Brian Canada of Pekin; sister, Nancy (Doug) Sterling of Normal and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Michael worked for Caterpillar for 43 years. and was a car enthusiast. A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 20, 2016 at 11:30 a.m. at Abts Mortuary in Pekin. Pastor Gene Mace will officiate. Burial will follow the service at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Visitation will be held Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to House of Hope or the Donor’s choice in his name.
