Obituary for Jo Ann Ginoli
Jo Ann Ginoli of Peoria passed away on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria after a series of recent illnesses. Born August 19, 1930, to Harold and Mildred Latimer in Canton, Illinois, she is survived by her husband Eugene Ginoli and their two children, Jon, of San Francisco, CA and Janet of Marina del Rey, CA; also a sister, Janet Ott of Sun Lakes, AZ and niece, Susan Pippin of Las Vegas, NV. Jo Ann was a graduate of Fairview High School and attended Monmouth College, where she was affiliated with Pi Beta Phi Sorority. She was a Caterpillar employee for many years, often appearing in their fashion shows or advertising photos. Her interests included many aspects of the arts, which she supported throughout her life, serving on the Peoria Symphony, Ballet, and Opera boards. She was an avid reader and enthusiastic traveler, seeking interesting locales and fine dining. Enthusiastic and fun-loving, she will be missed by many and remembered for her lovely smile and sense of adventure. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Peoria Symphony in her name. Cremation rites will be accorded and a private observance will be held at a future date.
