Obituary for William Morgan
William Paul Morgan, 68, of East Peoria passed away Friday, January 23, 2015 at his residence surrounded by his family and friends. He was born January 1, 1947 in Keokuk, IA to Lee H. and Fern M. Clampitt Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Morgan and Fern Morgan Pendola; step-father, Sam Pendola and step-brother, Sammie Pendola. He is survived by his children, Scott L. (Erin) Morgan of East Peoria, Ann M. Parrish of East Peoria and Nicholas R. (Jennifer) Morgan of Creve Coeur; grandchildren, Brittany, Hunter, Jade, Maggie, Max, Brody, Kayliegh, Ally, Brooklyn and Kaylie; one great-grandson; brother, Charles (Debra) Morgan of East Peoria; sister, Karen Anderson of East Peoria and lifelong friend, Carolyn White Brinker. William served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam and was a recipient of the Bronze Star. He was employed by IDOT. He was a member of the VFW Post of Creve Coeur and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Chicago Bears fan. He enjoyed NASCAR and playing Poker. Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of life will be held at Meadows 2000 Tap (Bill and Mary’s) in East Peoria on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to Taps and Wounded Warrior Project in his name.
