Obituary for Katherine Simpson
Katherine L. Simpson, 100, of Peoria, passed away on June 1, 2013. She was born March 27, 1913 in Peoria to Carrie L (Fessler) and Charles T. Law. She married Richard H. Simpson on November 24, 1936. He passed away on January 9, 1995. She is survived by son Thomas (Lynne) Simpson of Peoria and daughter Kathy Simpson (John Sepich) of Dunlap, four grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. Katherine was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one great-grandson. Katherine was a member of First Federated Church, Chapter BX-P.E.O., Proctor Hospital Service League, North Peoria Woman’s Club, Opera Illinois League, Lakeview Museum, Peoria Symphony Guild and Bradley PAFIS.Â
 Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of Life service will be held Wednesday, July 10, 2013 at 11:30 am, at First Federated Church in Peoria. Dr. Forrest Krummel will officiate. A reception will follow.Â
Burial will be in the church columbarium. Memorials may be made to her church, Neighborhood House or Common Place.
