Obituary for Donna J O'Brien
Donna J. O’Brien, 73 of Canton passed away at home Saturday, September 29, 2012. She was born November 2, 1938 in Peoria, the daughter of Helen Burkett. She married Ralph Jay O’Brien on September 7, 1956. He survives along with their son, Rick O’Brien of Canton, daughters; Terri O’Brien of Bloomington and Cheryl (Jed) Dooley of Brimfield. Also surviving are her sister Jo Anne David of Bartonville, brother Bob Burkett of Newport Beach, CA, 4 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren and her beloved dog Cassie. She was preceded in death by her mother. She attended Trewyn and Woodruff High School and was a homemaker, beloved wife and mother who enjoyed the outdoors, auctions, shopping and spending time with her family. In respect to her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded and no services will be held. Any memorial contributions can be given to Graham Hospital Hospice at 210 W. Walnut St. Canton, IL 61520. The family wishes to thank the Hospital and the Hospice staff for their excellent, dedicated care.
