Obituary for Donald Unes
Donald J. Unes 72, of Hanna City passed away Thursday October 6, 2011 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. He was born June 29, 1939 in Peoria to Mason and Hilda Dotzert Unes. He married Frances “Sue” Pollitt in Bartonville March 30, 1963. She survives along with his daughter, Kim (Mike) Gilstrap of Farmington, 2 granddaughters, Mindy (Greg) Glomb of Farmington, Mallory (Patrick) Griffith of Farmington, 3 great-grandsons, Mason, Logan, Bronson and sister, Norma (Frank) Schaefer of Bartonville. He was preceded in death by his parents and infant son. Donald worked for P & P Union Railroad, was a member of the Moose in Farmington and he loved to hunt and fish. Cremation has been accorded and no services will be held. Memorials may be made to the Leukemia Foundation in his name.
