Obituary for Shirley Oberle Bayre
Shirley Oberle Bayre 80, of Wisconsin, formally of Pekin passed away on Tuesday May 10, 2011 in West Bend, WI. Born in LaSalle, IL on January 31, 1931 to Joseph and Evelyn Heilman Kinczewski. She married John Oberle in 1951 and he preceded her in death in 1976, she then married Willard Bayre in 1981 and he preceded her in death in 1985. She is also preceded in death by her parents and her three brothers; Walter, Joseph and Ray. Shirley is survived by her and John’s sons: Tim, Dan and Jim. She also leaves behind her sister Darlene from LaSalle and grandchildren; Danielle, Joshua and Mellissa. Shirley graduated from St. Francis School of Nursing and worked as an RN in Obstetrics at Pekin Memorial Hospital for 18 years. She also worked for Tazewell County as special education nurse. In this position she was able to get medical treatment for children whose parents could not afford it. She finished her career as Charge Nurse of Intensive Care at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. A funeral mass will be held at noon on Saturday May 14, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin with visitation one hour prior to the service. Father Timothy Nolan will officiate and burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin.
