Obituary for Nancy Davis
Nancy M. Davis, 56, of Peoria passed away at 1:56 p.m. Friday November 5, 2010, at her residence with family by her side. Nancy was born on April 5, 1954 in Peoria, IL to Louis and Johanna Anderson and later resided with Ezekiel and Rose Davis of Davenport, IA. She was employed the past 10 years with School District 150. Previously, she was employed by District of Columbia Public Schools for 12 years. She was a licensed Funeral Director, phlebotomist and a graduate of Howard University (Washington, DC). Nancy was an avid volunteer for many non profit and religious organizations. Nancy was a member of Kingdom Temple C.O.G.I.C. and former member of Riverside Community Church. She leaves her precious mother Rose Davis of St. Petersburg, FL, four sisters, Damita (Al) Davis-Wren of Dover, FL, Mary Anderson, Constance Anderson and Julie Anderson, all of Peoria; eight brothers, Robert Davis and Kevin Davis, both of St. Petersburg, FL and Byron (Rasheen) Davis of North Port, FL, Gerald (Barbara) Anderson, Stephen (Bertha) Anderson, Robert Anderson, all of Peoria; Donell (Barbara) Anderson of Houston, TX and Wendell Anderson of Inglewood, CA. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews whom she cherished. Nancy is preceded in death by her father, Ezekiel Davis of Davenport, IA; father, Louis Anderson; mother, Johanna Anderson; sister, Theresa Mack and brother, Loyce Anderson all of Peoria. Services will be held Saturday November 13, 2010 at 12 noon with final respects to family received one hour prior to services at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Living God Temple 130 located at 2815 W. Lake where Rev. E. Patterson will officiate. Gestures of love will be received at 722 W. Melbourne Ave. Peoria, IL 61604.
