Obituary for Kathryn Falatka
Kathryn D. Falatka 79, of Peoria passed away Tuesday September 21, 2010 at her residence. She was born in Peoria, to Neal and Dorothy Hilst Johnson on October 4, 1930. She married Richard K. Falatka in Peoria on November 2, 1968. He preceded her in death November 25, 2009. She is also preceded in death by her parents, grandson Zachary and her brother Melvin. She is survived by her daughter, Dorothy “Dottie” (David) Askew, and grandchildren, Noah and Markie Christian all of Peoria; her niece Debbie and her 3 nephews; Neal, Wayne and Douglas. Kathryn was a homemaker and a crossing guard for the Peoria Police Department for several years. She was a member of the Eagles Club of Peoria. She was the greatest Mother in the world and she loved and adored her grandchildren. Cremation has been accorded, and a Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday September 25, 2010 at St. Sharbel Community Center in Peoria, with a luncheon to follow. Pastor James Betterman will officiate. Private graveside services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in her name to OSF Hospice.
