Obituary for Ralph Lawson
Ralph L. Lawson 66, of Pekin passed away Tuesday July 20, 2010 at his home. He was born September 4, 1943 in Deep Water, WV to Estel and Oretha James Lawson. He married Trudy Seelye May 23, 1969 in Pekin. She survives along with his sons; Ralph Lawson of AZ, Mark (Kassie) Lawson of Fairbury, Steve (Joanna) Lawson of Pekin, daughter; Tammy Lawson of Pekin, sisters; Joyce (Tim) Bailey of WV, Janice (Larry) Wyatt of WV, brothers; Donald (Bonnie) Lawson of WV, and Michael Gillenwalters of WV. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Marie, Steven, Elizabeth, Edward (Kara), Deseray, Tristian, Ashley, Michael and great-grandchild; Alexander. Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and step-father Wilton Gillenwalters, brothers; Timmy Lawson, Clearence Lawson and sisters; Lucreta Miller, Rose Benner, Frankie (Perk) Conn and Glenna Ratliff. He was a security guard for Overlander retiring in 1972. Ralph was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Pekin and he loved to fish. A Funeral Service will be held Saturday July 24, 2010 at Abts Mortuary in Pekin at 10am with a visitation 1 hour prior. Chaplin Paul Isom will officiate. Burial will follow at Glendale Memorial Gardens in Pekin. Memorials may be made to the Boys Club of Pekin
