Carlmaline Dorothy Zell, 94, of Bloomington, Il. formerly of Pekin, Il. passed away Friday, April 8, 2022 at Luther Oaks in Bloomington, Il.
She was born February 24, 1928 in Pekin Il. to Carl and Anna Steinbrunner Montgomery.
She was married to Clarence William Zell Jr. in Pekin, Il. on October 11, 1947. He preceded her in death March 9, 2010. Her parents and her sister, Virginia Jennings preceded her in death.
She is survived by her children, Curtis ( Heidi) of Bloomington, Il., Cathie ( Rod) Bowlby of Edina, Mn., Cynthia ( Jerry) Kersey of Carrollton, Tx., Casandra ( Jesse) Morgan of San Diego, Ca., Carla ( Mike) Wells of Highland Village, Tx. She is survived by her grandchildren, Scott ( Meggan), Todd ( Angie), Mandy, Matt ( Merlyn), Catherine, Clint, Courtney, Clayton, Jesse, Sibyl ( Max), Christopher, Madison, Mackenzie; her great grandchildren, Henry, Grace, C.C., Lucy, Samantha, Addison, Colin, Noah, Sascha, Keeley, Bailey, Michaela, Patrick and sister, Bernadine Ingolia of Pekin, Il.
Carlmaline worked for the American Distillery and Jones Brother Jewelers.
She was a member of St. Joseph Church in Pekin, Il., Council of Catholic Women, and the Resurrection Choir.
Cremation has been accorded and a memorial Mass will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 at 12 noon with a memorial visitation one hour prior at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Pekin, Il. Father Michael Andrejek will officiate. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Pekin, Il.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, Dream Factory of Central Illinois or Luther Oaks in Bloomington in her name.
